Al Rendon is a photographer and the owner of Rendon Photography & Fine Art, a photographic fine arts gallery located in historic SouthTown San Antonio.
Born and educated in San Antonio, Al's artwork reflects his natural
ability to photograph, beginning in the 1970s with concert and event coverage.
His first assignment came before he graduated from high school. He was asked
by KONO radio to shoot on-air personalities to accompany their weekly Top
40 lists.
Since then, Al has documented and accumulated an extensive collection of images celebrating San Antonio and local culture. Respect for his ability to capture a moment has led to official assignments covering some of the city's most important visitors and events. He has served as the official photographer for the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and the San Antonio Fiesta Commission, Southwest School of Art & Craft. His precise focus and ability to sculpt light has earned assignments for executive portraiture, architectural and location work.
